Student Spotlight

Our student’s have made incredible and inspiring progress here at Kennedy! Below we share some of our students’ journey. If you are a KCC Parent and would like for us to spotlight your child, fill out this form and we will contact you.

Meet angel

When Angel first started at KCC, he couldn’t walk independently. Due to his lack of core strength, even sitting in a chair wasn't possible without support.

Occupational and Physical Therapy has helped Angel increase his core strength and mobility. That means Angel is now able to run and dance with his friends!

“We love KCC because we see so much improvement in Angel. He is more confident! KCC provides great support to Angel and our family. They are very attentive to his needs and love him as much as we do!”

- Angel’s Parent, Agustin

Meet Love

“Love has truly made remarkable progress over the past 2 years. She started out as this quiet, soft spoken little girl, but now she's so talkative, caring, and has grown to be such a leader in the classroom. “

- Love’s Teacher, Gabriella

“When Love first started at KCC she was nonverbal, now I can’t get her to be quiet, I love it! I love this school and recommend it to everyone who has a child with disability. My 2 year old is starting in September. Even though Love is graduating, I’m happy I am not departing from KCC just yet.”

- Love's Mom, Christina

Meet Ariosto

Ariosto receives PT, OT, and speech therapy at KCC. Last year he couldn't walk; now he’s practically running! Ariosto is very talented, he loves to paint, read, and do sensory activities.

"The biggest change that gives us such a great feeling is being able to watch our son walk." - Ariosto's Dad, Washington.

Meet Justin

Before Justin began preschool at the Kennedy Children's Center, his doctors told his parents he would never walk or talk. He was very shy and afraid to interact with adults and fellow students.

"A couple months later," his mother Zanaida said, "Justin was eating on his own, Justin was talking… and he was taking steps, even going down the stairs! Without Kennedy, I don't know where my Justin would be."
